“ The view is very nice with a great view of the sunset on the 17th floor. The service is great being both friendly and punctual. I initially was surprised with the dinner prices. However the portions for the dinner is too small. They are actually appetizers. Although the food selection is diverse and taste good, this size is really too small for a meal ”

“ Came here for dinner to celebrate my birthday with my parents and grandmother last Saturday night and could not have better things to say about our experience. West Restaurant was exactly what we were looking for and I am so happy after years of having this on my list, that I finally gave them a shot! From the very start Marcello, the host, was friendly and took us to the perfect table right next to the window and our server, Zach, could not have been more friendly and attentive - he really made an effort to ensure I had a nice birthday meal. In addition to the menu itself being super appealing to my tastes, I chose this restaurant because my 95 year old grandma was joining us and she needs somewhere with easy parking/accessibility as she uses a walker and somewhere that is relatively quiet so she can hear and contribute to the conversation. The hotel has valet parking and they validate the first two hours; it is then $3 every 20 minutes after that. Could not have been easier for my grandma to walk into the elevator and into the restaurant - they had a ramp to the table as well and for a saturday night it was about as quiet as you could get for a nice restaurant in the area - some music playing in the background but it was kept at a reasonable volume and there were no overly loud parties. The food itself was great overall. The only things I probably wouldn't get again just because they weren't that special would be the lemon basil hummus with naan and the filet. The lemon basil hummus was tasty as was the bistro filet dish but they didn't wow me and I would have rather spent the money on other dishes. Everything else that I tried though was fantastic. The rosemary lamb pops were hands down my favorite and everyone absolutely loved them. When it comes to lamb, I can get be hit or miss with it but these were cooked perfectly and not at all gamey. The goat cheese and the fig sauce paired so well together and I cannot wait to try them again. The tuna tartare was so good although I didn't think the little wonton chips were very good or did anything for the dish - I would probably change those if I could but aside from that the dish was exceptional and had a fantastic slightly sweet sauce that paired perfectly. The smash burger sliders were also super tasty! The watermelon feta salad was also delicious and very refreshing - I love watermelon feta salads and this did not disappoint. The chicken skewers and pearled couscous were also delicious and the chicken was very moist (I always worry when I order chicken that it will be dry). I didn't try the coconut crab cakes as they have bell pepper, which I hate, but everyone else loved them! I also did not try the salmon dish my father got but he loved it and said the green beans were not spicy as indicated on the menu. For dessert a complimentary chocolate lava cake with salted caramel gelato was brought out and I gave that to my family to share as I am not a big chocolate person but I did have a small taste and it was very good! My mother and I shared the apple galette as we were so full but it sounded so good and it was! My grandma can be super picky about food as she has gotten older and her taste buds change so it is rare we find somewhere she is super happy with but she said she enjoyed everything she had and requested to come back for her 96th birthday in a month! Cannot wait to come back and have more of those lamb pops! ”

“ West is one of my favorite places to treat visitors from out of town for 2 reasons: 1. The panorama view of the LA basin, from the Pacific Ocean to the west, to the Hollywood Hills on the East, is just breathtaking - a fantastic way to showcase the city of Angels to our guests. 2. The food - over the years they've changed their menu a number of times but they always have California style cuisines with an international flair, which I think serves as a good culinary representation of LA. My experience with the staff, from valet attendants to restaurant manager, to waiters and waitresses, has been nothing but pleasant. Since their menus change from time to time, I've leaned to always consult the waiters before I make selections; and this has worked well. I've not been disappointed yet! Lastly for a place with such as superb view, I think their prices are reasonable. They are tapas-style sharable dishes but I thought the portion sizes were not bad at all! Great place for special occasions as well! ”

“ This restaurant is at the top of the Angelina hotel. They have some cool views and the restaurant is shaped like a half moon sort of. All the plates are shareable and each play order is about $10-$15. It is actually big servings for the price. So the small plates are not that small. But you can order a lot of stuff and almost half half the menu which is cool. The restaurant is on the 17th floor. The staff is so nice and they always check on you. They are very attentive. it is truly a vibe here. Great for a date night or even a business one on one. Wings - 9.5/10 amazing and crispy Truffle fries 8/10- wanted a bit more flavor on these Lava cake- 9/10 I wanted more lava Crab cakes - not as firm as I like them 7.5/10 Brussel sprouts - 7.5/10 I wanted them more crispy You can't beat a $9 valet price at a place like this! gorgeous restaurant ”

“ Despite a cloudy rainy day, my friend picked this location for the view. Driving here was easy, it's right off the 405, however once I came in looking for parking only to discover that it's valet only. Normally $35 but if you're here for food you get validated for $9. Not free? Why? I really hate the fact that someone is touching my car. Having access to my stuff inside. I don't know it feels weird. Once I got upstairs, the view was very apparent. It's not exactly 360 view but less than 180. It's nice, the seats are right by the window. There were no line and we got to enjoy the entire meal with hardly anyone around us. I really do want to come back for dinner, for the sunset but maybe next time I'm going to park elsewhere and walk here lol ”

“ It's hard to beat the view, the service, and the food at this location. Service was on par for the few days I had breakfast here, and our waiter and servers were fantastic. I would return again just for the food. I had the egg scramble with spinach and tomatoes. The next day, I had the corn flake french toast. The french toast was delicious! It was thick, breaded toast but was perfectly coated and not dry at all; like I find it can be at most other places. It came with a small cup of berries, but I also ordered a side of fruit. All the fruit was fresh and in season. I ordered coffee, and they brought a small carafe to the table, which I found helpful. My friend had pancakes each day, but he said their strawberry pancakes were fabulous. He kept talking about them all day! ”
